WindowWalk Computer Education is dedicated to training people effectively and comfortably to embrace the “computer age” by providing a fully student-oriented learning experience. We believe that excellent training programs and convenience are paramount to the adult student and we will do our utmost to ensure our students achieve their educational goals.
WindowWalk Computer Education opened in 2001 to meet a need in the community for personal customized computer training. WindowWalk’s Owner and Director, Deborah Loughnan, brings a life-time of experience that ranges over several fields with teaching and accounting being her focus over the last 25 years. Deborah is a life-long resident of Halifax, Nova Scotia with the exception of 5 years teaching Accounting and English overseas. Deborah began her accounting career in the early 1980′s. Over the years she has gained accounting experience working in and with Chartered Accountant firms, major retail and wholesale companies, non-profit and charitable organizations, and many small businesses.
Deborah’s interest in teaching began as a young child and never really left her. While in university completing her Bachelor of Arts degree, she volunteered in local elementary schools teaching remedial reading and English as a Second Language. Pursuing her love of teaching, Deborah volunteered for two years in Linden, Guyana as a senior high school teacher and then worked in Taiwan for three years teaching English as a Second Language. Returning home in 2001, Deborah was able to combine her love of teaching, computers, and travel into an on-site, student-directed computer training service. Her goal has always been to share her love of learning with every person she meets.
