Add an Address to Safe Senders in Outlook

The junk mail filter built into Outlook is not perfect and a helping hand does not hurt its performance. One way to improve spam-filtering is to add known senders to the list of Safe Senders. Email from senders on the Safe Senders list will go directly to your Inbox all the time. You can also add a whole website to the Safe Senders list, which is useful if you receive several newsletters from one website.

Add to Safe Senders from an existing message:

  1. Open the message from the sender to be added to the list.
  2. Select Actions – Junk Email – Add Sender to Safe Sendors List.

Add to Safe Senders manually:

  1. Select Actions – Junk Email – Junk Email Options from the menu in Outlook.
  2. Go to the Safe Senders tab.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Type the email address or domain name you want in the whitelist.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click OK again.
